Amazon Redshift

Getting started with Amazon Web Services Redshift

You need to have an Amazon Web Services account and a running Redshift cluster configured for public access from the Internet. If you don’t have an AWS account, you can create it here: https://aws.amazon.com/console. If you don’t have a running cluster, you can look at the guides provided by Amazon, here: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/redshift/latest/gsg/rs-gsg-launch-sample-cluster.html.

Don’t forget to enable access for your cluster from the Internet so, Boost.space Integrator can actually receive access.

Connecting Amazon Redshift to Boost.space Integrator

To connect your Amazon Redshift cluster to Boost.space Integrator, follow the general instructions for Connecting to services.

You will be prompted to enter the following:

  • host: your cluster URL, which you get in your AWS Console

  • port: port on which your database is running, default is 5439

  • user

  • password

  • database

After you have filled all required fields you can click ‘Continue‘. Boost.space Integrator will try to establish a connection to your database. If it succeeds, the dialog will close and you will be able to continue setting up your module.

Boost.space Integrator will make connections to your database from specific IP addresses. Our servers are set up with valid PTR records so you can easily restrict access by allowing %.make.com.
