Boost.space Sync: A Comprehensive Guide to Optimizing Your Data

Optimizing Data Synchronization

Properly preparing your data before synchronizing them with Boost.space IntegratorPart of the Boost.space system, where you can create your connections and automate your processes. is helpful for ensuring seamless and successful integration. By taking the time to pause other syncs, back up your data, clean up contacts, review data accuracy, and conduct a test run, you minimize the risk of data conflicts, loss, or duplication. This preparation ultimately saves time, improves data quality, and enhances the overall efficiency of your Boost.space Integrator experience.

Step 1: Pause Other Syncs Before starting with Boost.space synchronization, ensure you pause any other ongoing integrations (from other tools or even other Boost.space scenariosA specific connection between applications in which data can be transferred. Two types of scenarios: active/inactive.). This prevents any potential conflicts. Visit your CRM’s account settings to check if any data is already being synced one way.

Step 2: Back Up Your Data Creating a data backup is essential in a case of accidental deletions or modifications. Some applications like Google Contacts, iCloud, and ContactsPlus store temporary versions of your changes, allowing you to restore a previous state if needed. In other situations, you would need to do a manual backup – create a duplicate of your data/files so that you can revert any changes if needed. This way, you don’t have to worry about losing any data in the process.

For example, here you can see where you can restore a previous version of your document in Google Sheets.

Step 3: Clean Up Your Data Now it’s time to remove any unnecessary data from your file and tidy it up. If it’s filled with outdated information, delete it. You can use the “find & merge duplicates” feature in Google/iCloud/Outlook or your CRM to eliminate duplicates. Boost.space also offers this feature, and it is called “Key fields”. Clean and structured data is the most important step for optimized scenarios.

Step 4: Test and Review Before syncing your entire data, initiate a test run. If possible, select a lower limit number just to test the sync. After the first test sync, go to Boost.space and review the synced data. This allows you to verify the process and make any necessary adjustments before syncing all your data. If everything looks good, you can proceed with syncing the rest of your data.

By following these preparation steps, you ensure that your data synchronization with Boost.space is accurate, and efficient. Proper data management before syncing not only prevents errors and duplication but also maximizes the performance of your Boost.space Integrator.
